An Immersive Photography Expedition

Embark on an immersive 3 to 5 days private photography expedition in Siem Reap, designed to maximize your photographic opportunities. Our journey covers a diverse 60 km radius around the city.

The area around Siem Reap has much to offer for photographers with the iconic and lesser-known Angkor temples, the big Tonle Sap lake (subject to seasonal conditions), the lush Cambodian countryside (best during July–November green season), rice paddies, colorful monasteries with saffron robe monks. Complementing these scenic locations are the warm and friendly Cambodian people in local villages, whose genuine smiles and daily lives you'll capture in local food markets, quaint countryside villages, and amidst the ancient stones of Angkor's temples.

Limited to just a few participants, we provide personalized photography guidance throughout, helping you refine both composition and exposure techniques. Our small group size allows for discreet and respectful photography in local markets and monasteries.

For an extended experience, please have a look at our 12-day Cambodia photo tour.

Why Choose This Tour

Why Should You Book This Photo Tour?

Diverse & Rich Content: Ancient Temples and Culture

We designed this multi-day photo tour with a balanced blend of ancient temples and street photography: lush countryside, villages, local monasteries. This experience will give you insights into Cambodia's history and cultural heritage, while also providing numerous chances to capture memorable photographs.

Flexibility in Content & Schedule

We are happy to customize your program to include any special requests. We recommend taking a midday break — avoiding harsh midday light — but if you prefer to maximize your time and fit more photography shooting time, we can certainly adjust the schedule according to your preferences.

Best Light & Minimal Crowds

We carefully designed each itinerary, scheduling each temple visit during optimal lighting conditions while avoiding crowded periods. This planning ensures you will capture the temples in their best light, with minimal interference — ideal conditions for great photography.

One-to-One Photography Guidance

Throughout this photo tour, I'll guide you in discovering the most compelling angles at each location and share creative composition techniques to make your images stand out. We can cover essential photography fundamentals on-site, including mastering the exposure triangle and working with different shooting modes.

Off-the-Beaten-Path Experiences

Ride an electric mountain bike on dirt trails and discover hidden temples away from the crowd. Witness the daily life of people living on the floating villages of the Tonle Sap lake. Experience Cambodia's living culture with genuine access to monasteries and local markets.

Comfort & Safety Guaranteed

Air-conditioned private car or van with a dedicated driver. Hotel pick-up and drop-off, all entrance tickets included. Cold drinks throughout the day. As a solo traveler, you will always feel safe and well taken care of.

"Being with you has rejuvenated photography for me."

We recently had the great pleasure to participate in Laurent Dambies three day tour in Siam Reap. To actually see this ancient world with our own eyes under your vast knowledge and amazing photographic eye honed with repeated visits to each of these temples and monasteries was an unforgettable experience. The markets were a great bonus as were the active monasteries. Your patience with me and my camera was very much appreciated. I have never worked with anyone like you before.

"More than just a tour guide — expertise that takes you beyond shooting postcards."

We had a very enjoyable, satisfying and productive photographic tour with Laurent. On a 4-day tour, Laurent was able to suggest a balanced and realistic itinerary, which he had discussed with us in detail a few months ahead. A good balance between the amazing ancient temples, as well as authentic daily lives of Khmer people today. Laurent is reliable and punctual, providing an air-conditioned Lexus 4WD and dedicated driver. I can strongly recommend Laurent if you are a novice or advanced photographer.

"If you want to bring home the best pictures and memories, this is how to do it."

Last week I had the pleasure of being on tour with Laurent and I had the most creative and productive time! He created a personalized itinerary for my interests and photographic ideas. He was flexible in adapting to weather conditions and creative in finding views and places while we spoke. His experience and expertise will help you finding places and pictures you otherwise would need years of living there. Merci bien Laurent for this unforgettable experience.
